My Journey

My name is Maria Jimenez Rodriguez. I moved to Rochester when I was just nine years old, bringing with me a lifelong passion for creating. I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. After high school, that passion turned into a hustle—taking on one commission after another until I realized it was time to dedicate myself to what I truly love.

At 27, I made a definitive leap and fully committed to painting. I immersed myself in color theory, value studies, and various mediums through online art classes. While I love experimenting, I ultimately fell in love with two distinct worlds: the rich, seamless blending of oil painting and the fluid, spontaneous speed of watercolor.

Now, at 33, I am ready to share my vision, my growth, and my passion with the world.
