My Journey

Hello, my name is Maria Jimenez Rodriguez, I moved to Rochester, New York from Puerto Rico when I was nine and this is my story.

I have been drawing ever since I can remember. After high school, I commissioned one piece after another, until I gradually became more dedicated to what I truly enjoy. It wasn't until later in life that I fully committed to painting at the age of 27. I took online art classes to understand color theory, values and more for all kinds of mediums. Regardless of how many mediums I tried, I preferred oil painting because of the way it blends and Watercolor for a quick piece.

I am now 33 and I hope that I can share my passion with the world.
